Fridge is great but the customer service?

We like our refrigerator but the customer service is what won me to write this review. We had a few issues come up shortly after our warranty ran out but their team extended it as a courtesy and set us up with local technicians to fix it within days at no charge. This kind of customer service is rare anymore but makes me want to purchase more LG products

The water has terrible smell. No issue with the tap water. I installed the original LG filter poured 10-15-20 gallons of water. And still water has additional terrible smell. No chances to get rid of that. LG support told nothing helpful by phone.

Ive had it over a year now. The light on the door water dispenser has never worked. The right door seal isnt working. So when you shut the left door it pops open stays ajar unless its noticed re shut. Customer service was not helpful at all. They couldnt even find my registration for their product. Let alone my extended warranty. I got no where. Will have to try again when I have the time energy.

So far so good. User manual is nearly useless since it combines about 8 different models. I could not find the manual online for my model. Shelves are nearly impossible to adjust. Icemaker does not seem to turn off when bin is full sending cubes beyond the bin. Aluminum skin used on doors so magnets will not work.....

Water comes out too hard and fast. Splashes water. From the picture it looked like it had ice/ water on the door. Got it and learned that the ice is in the bottom. DO NOT LIKE IT ALL.

We purchased an LG refrigerator a little over 5 years ago. At 5 years and 3 months we had a total cooling shutdown on the unit. As it was outside of the warranty period LG would do nothing. A review of their refrigerators show a class action lawsuit as their units do tend to go bad. It is a question of if it is within the 5 years or not based on this lawsuit to see if you are covered or not. Otherwise you lose and the lawsuit was filed as they do go back based on inferior parts. I will not purchase one again but look at another brand.

New refrigerator outstanding space inside. We wanted the ice in the freezer and not on the door so we have all that extra door space while still getting to use the water dispenser feature on the door which doesnt take up any space. We use an opal icemaker separately.

Have had this refrigerator for about a month and am very happy with it. There is so much interior room and the amount of ice the ice maker makes is wonderful. The slim fit water dispenser on the door allows you to fill glasses cups pitchers of many sizes with ease. The only thing different I would want would be a bigger deli drawer it is adequate however.

I purchased this fridge along with all of my appliances for my newly built home. I love the look first and foremost of this fridge. I chose the black stainless and it is immaculate. I was weary of a deep large fridge but I found this one to be just perfect in size. I love that the ice is dispensed directly into the freezer basin vs having it at the door. It allows for more door space internally. Temperature is spot on as well. I have zero qualms.

Bought this at the beginning of September and it was installed at the end of September. So far we are enjoying the spacious upper area. We could almost live in there. Had to buy more food. Lots of room. Freezer is al great - love the ice making machine in the freezer.

Nice fridge but it wont cool down. It always cools to 5 degrees higher than the setting. Has repair guy from LG change out the temperature sensor. Still wont cool down. Stays 5-6 degrees above setting. So we have to keep it set at 33 degrees lowest setting available just to keep fridge at 38-39. Not pleased with this as being acceptable.

We had as nice side-by-side 28.5 Cubic feet but it always seemed crowded. It was a hassle to come home with groceries and put items in it. Or whenever holiday meals came along it was really tight finding place for leftovers or food prep that is left in fridge ahead of time. We wanted something new with a lot of space and the design of this model met that description. It only has a sleek water disperser in the door thereby leaving more room on the inside door of wider shelves. The icemaker is in the bottom and it really fills up fast. Its not an inconvenience to us to get ice via the freezer versus on old fridge where water and ice dispensed from the door. The fridge is like a canyon-so much room on the shelves plenty of space on the doors. Now we come home with groceries and just toss them right in without searching for space. Whenever there are leftovers-easy as 1-2-3 just open the door and place right in no need to arrange a place for large dishes of food. The fridge operationally is excellent keeping things very cool its very very quiet. The freezer stays nice and frozen and plenty of room for our needs. This was an excellent choice and less expensive than others around 29+ cubic feet range size.

Very happy with the fridge so far. Its a huge size but doesnt take over the room. I love the water dispenser with the ice in the freezer. Definitely would not buy an ice dispenser in the door as it takes up too much room. Highly recommend.

We are a month into our new LG refrigerator and we love it. The interior has plenty of space and the exterior water dispenser is a nice addition. There is no exterior ice dispenser but that is fine with us as we have found that to more trouble than it is worth.

Weve only had our LG 29cu. Ft. refrigerator for a few weeks now but we love it. Not only does it look good but its also built with great functionality. The French door design makes it easy to grab items you need without having to shuffle items around to get what your looking for. The interior is spacious and the 2 crisper drawers and deli drawer are also large enough to hold all you produce and cold cuts. The freezer is easily accessed and is enormous. We didnt realize just how big it is until we started filling it with food. Top it off with the built in ice maker and in door water dispenser and you have a great refrigerator at a great price point.

Purchased our LG refrigerator at the end of March. So happy to have a unit that works correctly. It is easy to clean and I definitely enjoy the additional space in the fridge by eliminating the ice maker in the door. The ice in the freezer is always plentiful no need for one in the door. Unusual that the light on the water dispenser has gone out but we are in the process of having that replaced at no charge.

We bought this refrigerator a few weeks ago and have been very satisfied with it. It is very simple to operate and works very well. Our old refrigerator lasted for years and while it did a good job it does not compare to the LG refrigerator we purchased. We first had the opportunity to use LG products in a VRBO rental a few years ago and were very impressed by their design and performance. Since that time we have purchased an LG TV washer and dryer double oven and refrigerator. We have been very impressed with LG overall and will continue to purchase LG products as we have to replace other appliances.

This refrigirator replaced a similar LG unit which had the icemaker in the door. This replacement has the icemaker in the freezer. What a difference that makes. The storage space is enormous now. The only down side is the water dispenser on the door - it is very easy to accidentally hit the dispense lever and make a wet mess.

Had it since February 26. Code FFE repeatedly comes back. Ive reset it it a couple time and also emptied and left it open for 30 days to thaw if its frozen inside. Had to buy a used refrigerator just to put my stuff in since its after the 30 day return window. Wish I never bought it. Repair man came yesterday said he couldnt find anything wrong with it but will replace the motherboard since thats a symptom so I hope it fixes it.

We like the design but we had two different ones delivered and neither can get the fridge compartment to cool down correctly even at the lowest temp setting. With a so-called 5-degree variance possible the temperature range of 33 to 43 degrees is a very poor design. The range should be something like 28 degrees to 45 degrees to accommodate the possible variance since fridges should be kept between 33 and 40 degrees. Very disappointing.

finally got the refigerator home up nd running. the front of the refrigerator has zero none sttel with it you cannot stick anything magnet wise to it it lt also scatches eaisly and can bee seen at different angles. the protective film that was installed were the handles goes is peeling off. very poor exterior quality for such a high price. the reset of the refigerator I would give 5 stars so far but front of exterior I would actually give a 3 star rating just poor very poor quality and craftsmanship of assembly definitely done without concern of quality. rushed job to cut corners perhaps.
